Lyon vs Fenerbahce Predictions

Goals set to flow in Lyon

Fenerbahce could only take a 1-1 draw from the home leg of Champions League qualification playoff with Lyon and the return tie could provide plenty of goals. 

Fener don’t have to chase the game at 1-1, but Lyon are likely to be tough to beat on their own patch and if the French side do take the lead it could be all-out attack for Ismail Kartal’s men. 

The Yellow and Navy Blues have hit expected goals figures of 2.36 and 2.90 in their opening two matches of the Turkish Super Lig and Fenerbahce’s strength certainly lies in the forward line. 

Mason Greenwood, Marco Asensio, Romelu Lukaku and Vedat Muriqi are all attacking options open to Kartal, which gives huge goal threat, but Fenerbahce are not watertight at the back.

Lyon crashed in three goals in their home leg of their second-round Champions League qualifying tie against Sparta Prague and Les Gones were good 2-0 winners at Toulouse on Saturday. 

The second leg is finely poised, with both sides in with a shot at a spot in the Champions League, but taking over 2.5 goals rates a solid play.
