Ajax vs FC Sion Predictions
- Ajax hit an expected goals number of 3.53 against Sion last week
- Sion have scored 22 goals in their last seven games
- Ajax are unbeaten in their opening seven matches of the season
Ajax can deliver another attacking masterclass
Ajax produced an attacking masterclass to beat Sion 4-2 in the first leg of their Conference League qualification playoff and the Amsterdam outfit look to be heading through.
De Godenzonen hit a whopping 23 efforts on goal and created an expected goals number of 3.53 on hostile Swiss territory last week and there was certainly no fluke about that success.
Sion deserved their two goals too, but Didier Tholot’s men were unable to resist the array of Ajax’s attacks.
De Godenzonen are unbeaten in their opening seven matches of the new campaign and Michel’s forward-thinking side have hit 21 goals already this term.
Striker Marcos Leonardo, who made a big-money move from Al Hilal in the summer, grabbed his first Ajax goal against Sion and the Brazilian adds more depth to a forward line which already contained Oscar Gloukh, Kasper Dolberg, Steven Berghuis and Abdellah Ouazane.
Sion head to Amsterdam having to chase down a side packed with attacking talent and it’s not difficult to see the danger on the horizon.
The Swiss side have scored 22 goals in their last seven games, which gives them hope, but Tholot’s men are likely to fall in a high-scoring contest.
