Bayern Munich vs Stuttgart Predictions

  • Bayern Munich have already sealed the title and took a holiday to Ibiza following last weekend’s defeat.
  • Bayern’s only defeat across the last 19 H2H meetings came after securing the title in 2017/18.
  • Depending on Hertha’s result, Stuttgart must win in order to take their relegation fight to the final day.

Bayern have their sandals on

After mathematically confirming their tenth consecutive Bundesliga title, Bayern Munich have come under scrutiny from other sides for their approach to games. Perhaps most notably, Hertha’s manager criticised Julien Nagelsmann’s men for ruining the integrity of the league by heavily rotating for their remaining games.

Not only this, the Bayern squad reportedly took a holiday to Ibiza in the wake of their 3-1 defeat to Mainz last weekend, which is arguably not the best preparation for another week of Bundesliga action.

If that wasn’t enough to cast doubt over the chances of what is usually a dominant Bayern side, they are without their talismanic keeper Manuel Neuer for their remaining games after his recent knee surgery as Ulreich shipped three goals as his replacement last time out.

Win or bust for Stuttgart

Stuttgart could already be confirmed as finishing in the bottom-three by the time kick off rolls around, but at the time of writing they are four points shy of Hertha and still in with a very slim chance of survival without the need of a relegation play-off.

Even if Hertha do win, Stuttgart still need to win to ensure that they remain outside of the bottom two and give themselves an opportunity to survive via the play-off route. There is the small issue of ending a five-game winless run though.

It is not often that we would back against Bayern, but all the ingredients seem to be in place for a potential shock at the Allianz Arena. We are taking Stuttgart in the draw no bet market, perhaps by a 3-1 scoreline, reminiscent of their 2017/18 success here after Bayern had already sealed the title.
