Clean sheets a concern for rampant Bayern

Bayern Munich won the Bundesliga by 16 points last season, scoring a whopping 122 goals in their 34 matches, and Vincent Kompany’s side are unlikely to take their foot off the gas as they chase glory at home and abroad.

They have already beaten Borussia Dortmund 2-1 in the German Super Cup, but opening league opponents Stuttgart will be encouraged by the fact the champions kept just four clean sheets in their final 19 Bundesliga games last term.

Stuttgart can make their Allianz mark

All but four of Stuttgart’s last 20 Bundesliga games have featured goals at both ends and while they lost 3-0 to a Harry Kane hat-trick in the DFB Pokal final in May, their 4-2 defeat at the Allianz Arena in the league was an epic.

They have warmed up with a 4-0 cup win over Hansa Rostock and should be confident they can make their mark, so it makes sense to back a Bayern win in which Stuttgart also find the net.
