There is local pride at stake here but little more than that. Both sides are heading for mid-table finishes it would seem with Preston in 10th and Blackburn 14th as it stands. Blackburn are pretty clear favourites here but there is little to choose between the sides in truth although Preston have been the more impressive this season.
