Borussia Monchengladbach 2-1

Borussia Monchengladbach vs Borussia Dortmund Predictions

  • Borussia Dortmund have lost their last four away league games
  • Dortmund have lost six of their last seven away games in all competitions

Dortmund aim to build on Bayern result

Borussia Dortmund will look to build on last weekend’s draw in Der Klassiker when they travel to face Borussia Monchengladbach on Saturday.

Nuri Sahin’s side are still without an away Bundesliga win this season and must halt a worrying sequence of four league defeats on the road if they are to remain in the race for a top-foir finish.

A title challenge looks a long way off given their current travelling tribulations with Dortmund falling apart after Emre Can’s red card at Mainz on their last league trip. They did beat Dinamo Zagreb in Croatia to halt a six-game away losing sequence last week, but the Foals are in great form at home and should present a tougher challenge.

Foals are a different animal at home

Gladbach suffered their usual away defeat in Freiburg last weekend and remain in the lower half of the table, but they are a different proposition in front of their own fans at Borussia-Park.

Gerardo Seoane’s side gave Bayer Leverkusen a fright there on opening night when the defending champions scraped a 3-2 win and were not disgraced ina 3-1 defeat to Stuttgart a couple of weeks later.

Their four subsequent home wins against lower-half teams have all been deserved and, with in-form striker Tim Kleindienst in their ranks, they have the firepower to exploit the gaps in Dortmund’s defence.  The visitors have lost four of their last five visits to Borussia-Park and could be without Julian Brandt as well as Karim Adeyemi this weekend.
