Their relegation is looming, while the hosts don’t look good enough to change their fate.

Meanwhile, Roma ended a three-game losing streak by beating Parma on Wednesday, a win which has left them a full 13 points shy of the Champions League spots. Their top four challenge is basically over, they just need to edge out Napoli and AC Milan for fifth. Having lost to both of those two in their last four games, the Giallorossi know that will be a tough task.

Defensive issues for Giallorossi

The visitors come into this one with doubts around their defensive record. A big part of their poor run was some lax defending, with the Giallorossi conceding twice in three of their last four games. On top of that, they have conceded two or more goals in five straight away trips, so keeping clean sheets isn’t something they’re used to.

Roma have conceded in all but six of their 31 matches this season. While they have produced some solid results on the road, they have failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their last seven matches away from home. While they are heavy favourites to see off second-bottom Brescia, we are backing the Giallorossi to concede in our predictions here.

Brescia to continue losing streak

Brescia look well placed to take advantage of Roma’s issues at the back. They have scored in all but one of their five home clashes with the top six. However, they only managed a single goal in each of those matches in which they scored, losing all five of them. Their record against top sides this term has been awful, making them massive outsiders for this clash with Roma.

Roma have lost every game against a side placed eighth or higher this term. They’ve played 17 games against the current top half, losing 16 of those. That dire return should see Roma cruise to victory this weekend, but we still don’t trust the visitors at the back. Roma to win and both teams to score is our first prediction here. Meanwhile, Brescia have lost 2-1 on four occasions this season, all of which came in their five clashes against sides from sixth and above. We’re backing Roma to follow suit in this clash.
