Brighton vs Reading Betting Tips & Predictions 

Reading suffered a disappointing end to their FA Cup run on Friday when they lost 2-0 at home to Crystal Palace in their Quarter-Final. They were also poor in their last league game when they lost 3-1 at Huddersfield a week ago but overall have been in pretty strong form and were unbeaten in 6 going into the game against the Terriers. They are in 15th  place, 8 points clear of the drop-zone and with a couple of games in hand on almost all the sides below them it is hard to see them getting sucked into any trouble and they should have enough quality to secure a comfortable mid-table or perhaps even top half finish particularly now they are out of the Cup.

Brighton have also had a frustrating week or so. They had secured back-to-back 4-0 victories to signal their return to form but successive 0-0 draws against Preston and Sheffield Wednesday have just dented their progress a little. However with Hull, Middlesbrough and Derby all in poor form, they remain strong contenders for automatic promotion and could move back in to the top two if they can secure all 3 points here.

The Seagulls had the weekend off to prepare for this game so should be the fresher of the two sides. They are 21 points better off than Reading and have won 4 of their last 5 home games. They’d netted 12 times in 4 home matches prior to last week’s 0-0 draw with the Owls. The Royals have lost 3 of their last 4 away from home and backing Brighton to win at Evens looks to offer decent value here.
