Burnley and Both Teams To Score

      Reason for tip

Burnley manager Scott Parker should give this fixture his maximum focus and a 5-1 win at home to Championship outfi Millwall in the third round supports that case. The Clarets should have got a lift from Wednesday’s 3-2 win at Crystal Palace and can win an entertaining FA Cup fixture.

      Burnley 3-1

      Reason for tip

Burnley have kept only one clean sheet in 19 outings and both teams have scored in seven of Mansfield’s last ten away games, so this could be entertaining. Take the Clarets to show their class in a 3-1 victory.

      Burnley vs Mansfield Town Predictions

      • Burnley defeated Championship outfit Millwall 5-1 in the previous round
      • The Clarets have managed only one clean sheet in 19 outings
      • Both teams have scored in seven of Mansfield’s last ten away games

Clarets can show Premier League quality

An extraordinary first-half fightback saw Burnley come from two goals down to win 3-2 at Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Wednesday and they will be keen to follow up in their FA Cup fourth-round clash with League One Mansfield.

The Clarets still look likely to endure Premier league relegation, as they are nine points adrift of safety with only 12 games to go, but victory at Selhurst Park provides them with a platform to build on.

Scott Parker should still give this fixture his maximum focus and a 5-1 win at home to Championship outfit Millwall in the third round supports that case.

The top-flight hosts will have to be wary of Mansfield’s challenge as they recorded a shock 4-3 win at Sheffield United in the previous round and Tuesday’s 2-1 reverse to Peterborough was their first defeat in ten.

      Stags carry a goalscoring threat

However, the Clarets should have enough to come out on top on the evidence of that third-round win at home to Millwall and their two matches either side of that at Turf Moor were 2-2 draws with Manchester United and Tottenham.

Burnley may as well express themselves and they can win an entertaining cup clash against third-tier Stags, who have seen both teams score in seven of their last ten away games.

Nigel Clough’s side sit comfortably in mid-table in League One and will believe that they can cause problems for the defensively-fragile Clarets, who have kept only one clean sheet in 19 outings.

But Burnley can stamp their authority and are fancied to win 3-1, given that both teams have scored in five of their last seven matches.
