Caen vs Troyes Betting Tips & Predictions

Caen’s strong start to the season this term has put them in good stead as we enter the home stretch. They haven’t been in the greatest of form since winter began, but despite this they still reside in a promising 7th position with just four points between them and 3rd placed Nice.

A win on Saturday could see them end the weekend level on points with Lyon in 4th, and they will be confident of picking up the three points. They have won two of their last four Ligue 1 matches and only lost once –  A 1-0 defeat to the resurgent Gazelec Ajaccio on Saturday.

Troyes, on the other hand, sit rock bottom of Ligue 1 with just 14 points from their first 30 league matches, and the 18 points between them and safety is surely insurmountable at this stage of the season.

The visitors confidence won’t exactly be high coming into this one. They hosted Paris Saint Germain last weekend, with the visitors sealing their 4th successive Ligue 1 title in true style with a 9-0 thrashing of the strugglers. This is the biggest away win in Ligue 1 history, and it will have their players feeling despondent after such a mauling.

This was their 4th straight defeat in Ligue 1 and their 8th loss in their last nine outings in all competitions. Away from home they are marginally better, but they have still lost four of their last five on the road.

Troyes have conceded a huge 68 goals in Ligue 1 this season, and their defence will be rock bottom after last weekend. Caen may not be the most thrilling team going forward but they will be expecting a comfortable win on Saturday.
