Carlisle vs Crawley Town Predictions
Carlisle had a remarkable resurgence under Paul Simpson last year, charging towards survival as they won five of their final seven home matches.
Paul Simpson has not enjoyed a particularly busy transfer window, but Tom Holy from Ipswich and Ryan Edmondson from Leeds are certainly intriguing arrivals.
Arguably the Blues’ best bit of business has been to keep hold of striker Omari Patrick, although he might not be fit to start against a side who have won on just one of their last eight visits to Brunton Park.
Crawley snuck into the top half of League Two last season, but they were hardly helped by a dreadful run on the road as they lost five of their final seven matches.
New manager Kevin Betsy has overseen some odd friendly results, including a loss to Aldershot and a draw with QPR, that as new signings such as Dom Telford (Newport) and Brandon Mason (MK Dons) bed in.
Given Crawley’s strike force, and Carlisle’s form at home, I think both teams will win this one, but expect the hosts to come out on top with a 2-1 win.
