Casa Pia vs Estoril Predictions
- Casa Pia have been level at half-time in their last four home league games
- Casa Pia have lost six of their last ten home matches in the Primeira Liga
- Six of Estoril’s last seven away goals have come after the interval
Estoril are back on track after defeating Dragons again
Estoril’s seven-match wait for an away win could come to an end on Monday when they visit Casa Pia in the Primeira Liga.
The Canaries come into this game after completing the league double over Porto with a 1-0 home win last weekend. Vasco Seabra’s side clinched victory with the only goal of the game four minutes after Porto had goalkeeper Diogo Costa sent off.
It is clear that they are a team who really get under the Dragons skin, but they also enjoyed a big win over Casa Pia when they met earlier this season.
Casa Pia are hardly exciting at home
That 4-0 thrashing came a week after their previous win over Porto and was part of a run when they kept clean sheets in four of six games, all of which were won. They may already be embarking on a similar run with two 1-0 home wins in the bank already and a trip to a team who are not big scorers at home.
Casa Pia, remarkably, have not scored a first-half goal at home since September and managed to find the back of the net only once in their last four at Estádio Municipal de Rio Maior. This contest has the feel of a tight one where the first goal could be decisive and late.
Estoril can use the momentum from two solid home wins to get a hard-earned three points again here with the odds about them being level at half-time appealing too. Casa Pia’s last four home games have been 0-0 at the break with the hosts only able to score once after the interval in those contests.
