Alaves to Win

Reason for tip

Alaves have won their last three home games against Valencia. They are strong at home, beating Elche 3-1 there just before the international break and should see off a Valencia side reeling from back-to-back defeats and winless in their last four La Liga road trips.

Alaves 3-1

Reason for tip

Valencia have conceded 3.33 goals per game in their last three away fixtures and with Alaves having scored three in their last home game, another 3-1 home victory could be on the cards in Vitoria.

Alaves vs Valencia Predictions

  • Alaves have won their last three home games against Valencia
  • Valencia are winless in their last three La Liga matches
  • Los Che have conceded 3.33 goals per game in their last three away fixtures

Alaves eye home boost against shaky Valencia

Alaves will look to extend their strong home record against Valencia when the two sides meet at Estadio de Mendizorroza on Monday evening.

The hosts are in mid-table and coming off a morale-boosting 3-1 home victory over Elche while Valencia have dropped into the bottom six after a three-game winless run.

Eduardo Coudet’s men have been quietly resilient at home, avoiding defeat in seven of their last eight matches in Vitoria. Toni Martínez led the line effectively in their win over Elche, which followed a narrow 1-0 loss to Mallorca and a 1-1 draw with Getafe.

Los Che look to be in trouble

Valencia, by contrast, are in the midst of another identity crisis. Carlos Corberán’s side have taken just two points from their last three games and were beaten by both Girona and Real Oviedo. Their defensive frailties are glaring—14 goals conceded in eight matches, including 10 in their last four.

On the road, they’ve failed to win in 12 of their last 15 outings, and their four La Liga away trips this season have yielded just one point and 11 goals conceded.

Mendizorroza remains a fortress Alaves have enjoyed the upper hand in recent meetings, winning each of their last three there against Los Che. The hosts will fancy their chances of edging a tight contest, capitalising on Valencia’s lingering travel sickness and defensive lapses. A narrow win with both teams scoring looks the value play.
