Celtic and Both Teams To Score

Reason for tip

Celtic are in solid form with five wins and just one defeat in their last eight games. The Bhoys beat St Mirren in the league last weekend and can follow that up with a cup victory on Sunday, but the Buddies can get on the scoresheet. Celtic have just two clean sheets in their last 11 domestic games and St Mirren have scored in five of their last seven.

Celtic 2-1

Reason for tip

A Celtic win with both teams scoring is predicted and a 2-1 win for the Glasgow giants has a chance. Celtic haven’t been picking up huge wins – seven of their last eight victories have been by one-goal margins – and their last three wins against St Mirren have all been by one goal.

Hyun Jun Yang To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Yang Hyun-jun comes into the game in decent form for Celtic with three goals in his last four games. The South Korean looks a decent contender for an anytime effort.

Celtic vs St Mirren Predictions

  • Celtic beat St Mirren 1-0 in the Premiership last weekend
  • Celtic have conceded in nine of their last 11 domestic games
  • St Mirren have scored in five of their last seven

Final awaits Bhoys or Buddies

Celtic and St Mirren meet at Hampden Park on Sunday in the second of the Scottish Cup semi-finals in a huge game for both sides.

St Mirren stunned the Bhoys in the League Cup final earlier this season and have a chance to win a first ever double, while Celtic are at risk of a rare season without silverware.

The Glasgow giants won 1-0 when these sides met at Parkhead in the Premiership just last weekend and I’m backing them to follow that up with a cup success on Sunday, although more entertainment is anticipated.

Last week both sides will clearly have had this game in mind, and St Mirren should leave it all on the line on Sunday so the best angle could be backing Celtic to win and both teams to score.

Clean sheets have suddenly become an issue for Martin O’Neill’s side with just two in their last 11 domestic games. The Buddies also have a solid scoring rate as they have scored in five of their last seven games, and they’re in the kind of form that suggests they can cause Celtic a few problems with three wins in their last five games.

A 2-1 win for Celtic is the correct score pick as their last three wins against St Mirren have all been by one-goal margins, while only one of their last seven victories across all competitions has been by more than one goal.

Yang Hyun-jun comes into the game in decent form for Celtic with three goals in his last four games and he looks a decent contender for an anytime effort.
