Charlotte FC vs FC Cincinnati Predictions

  • Charlotte have drawn their last four matches
  • Four of Cincinnati’s five draws in this season’s MLS have come on their travels
  • Cincinnati have drawn two of their last four fixtures

Cincinnati showing signs of vulnerability

Cincinnati have been setting a strong pace at the top of the Eastern Conference but they have won just one of their last four matches and could be held by Charlotte at the Bank of America Stadium.

Pat Noonan’s Cincy have been almost invincible on home soil, taking 31 points from a possible 33 at TQL Stadium, but they have won just three of nine matches on their travels and were beaten 3-0 by DC United on their last road trip.

The Ohio outfit remain extremely well-placed with six points separating them from second-placed Nashville, but they are going through a more difficult spell and are perhaps missing the influences of centre-back Matt Miazga and attacker Brandon Vazquez, who are competing with the USA team at the Concacaf Gold Cup.

Charlotte can maintain drawing streak

Charlotte have shared the points in their last four matches, leaving them tenth in the Eastern Conference, and they appear to be playing well enough to hold the divisional leaders.

Christian Lattanzio’s side are facing a battle to reach the playoffs but they should approach the weekend with confidence having drawn 1-1 at New York City on Wednesday.

Six games have passed since Charlotte’s last victory and the North Carolina outfit may have to accept a fifth successive draw.
