      Under 2.5 Match Goals

      Reason for tip

Under 2.5 goals is the standout bet when Cheltenham host Accrington on Saturday. Five of the last seven League Two meetings between the sides and four of Cheltenham’s last six games have gone under the line. Both teams are struggling for form, and another low-scoring encounter looks on the cards at Whaddon Road.

      Accrington Stanley 1-0

      Reason for tip

Accrington can edge out a tight contest with a 1-0 win. Cheltenham have lost six of their last eight League Two home matches, often by fine margins, and all their goals this season have come after half-time. With Accrington still searching for a first win, this looks a good chance to claim one via a narrow success.

Goals at a Premium as Accrington Target Narrow Win at Cheltenham

Under 2.5 goals looks the best bet when Cheltenham host Accrington at Whaddon Road on Saturday. There have been fewer than three goals in five of the last seven League Two clashes between these sides and in four of Cheltenham’s last six games.

Accrington are 21st in League Two, three places above rock-bottom Cheltenham, with no wins from their six games this season. Accrington have two points more than the hosts, having drawn three and lost two, while Cheltenham have lost five and drawn one.

It’s a difficult time for Cheltenham, who have lost six of their last seven League Two matches, and Accrington are without a win in six games.

Cheltenham ended a run of six straight defeats with a 1-1 draw away at Salford last Friday and, priced at 9/2 to win the game, they would have been far happier than their hosts with the result. The match kept up their recent trend for games with under 2.5 goals and Cheltenham left their scoring until the second half  – all of their goals this season have come after the break.

Accrington can edge this, with a 1-0 correct score in favour of the visitors looking like a decent bet. Cheltenham have lost six of their last eight League Two home games and have gone down by the odd goal in two of their last three matches.
