Stuttgart Draw No Bet

Reason for tip

Atuttgart will have fond memories of their win here to save their skin on the final day of last season and as such, we’re backing the visitors to get off the mark against a side likely run down after a midweek trip to Hungary.

Cologne vs Stuttgart Predictions

  • Cologne played in a midweek away game in Hungary and must contend with significantly less preparation time.
  • Stuttgart’s last league victory came against none other than Cologne last season.
  • Stuttgart are unbeaten in five of their last six away league games.

The Billy Goats have their heads in the clouds

After a stunning 3-0 win in Hungary during the week, Cologne can celebrate the fact that they will now feature in the Europa Conference League group stage, their first appearance in a European group stage since the 2017/18 season!

While that was a historic result in itself, returning to Bundesliga action with considerably less time to prepare and so many miles in the legs of players could be detrimental to their cause.

On the other hand, Stuttgart have had a tough week with star striker Sasa Kaladzic looking to be headed to Wolves, yet it was only because of a dramatic final day victory over Cologne that the visitors remain in the top-flight, and that could give them something of a psychological lift as they seek their first league win.

Looking for value

While Cologne are rightful favourites given their superior start to the season and home advantage, the price around a home win gives little value considering their current circumstances.

As such, we’re going for greater coverage with a draw no bet selection on a Stuttgart win, with a smaller stakes selection going the way of a narrow 2-1 victory, the same scoreline as on the final day of 2021/22.
