Dinamo Zagreb vs Sheriff Tiraspol Predictions

Dinamo Zagreb have a mountain to climb if they are to secure a place in the Champions League group stages after a 3-0 defeat to Sheriff Tiraspol in Macedonia.

The Croatian club are the heavy favourites to win the second leg, but a three-goal deficit may be too big of an ask for the hosts and instead the goals markets stand out in this fixture.

Sheriff will probably set up to defend their lead and Dinamo need to go on the attack from the off if they are to force their way back into contention in this tie.  The visitors should see a few chances come their way on the counter as the Zagreb club need to push forward, and with that in mind both teams to score looks a good option in this fixture.

Sheriff  are unbeaten in their last nine games (W8, D1) and have scored in all of those fixtures.  The Macedonian outfit have scored in all seven of their European qualifiers so far, including a 1-1 draw at Red Star Belgrade, and they can get on the scoresheet in Croatia.  Dinamo have scored in eight of their last nine, only failing in the first leg of this tie, and at home they have only drawn a blank once in their last 13 fixtures. 

Dinamo aren’t prolific scorers and have only scored four goals in total in their last five games but I feel a 2-1 home win has a chance in the correct score market.  The hosts will go all out for the win, while Sheriff may see it as job done if they do get on the scoresheet and are unlikely to press for a second if they do manage to hit the target.
