Estonia vs Serbia Predictions

It has been a forgettable few years as far as Serbian football has been concerned. Despite possessing some talented players they were never seriously in the running for Euro 2016 qualification and their task was made very difficult when their home game with Albania was awarded as a 3-0 away win due to crowd disturbances. Things haven’t been much better this season. They’ve lost 4 of their last 5 matches including a 1-0 friendly defeat in Poland last week while they were beaten 4-1 by Czech Republic in their only November international so their building process for the World Cup qualifiers isn’t exactly going well.

This should give them a better chance of a win but Estonia can be stubborn opponents on their day and this won’t be easy for the Serbs. Estonia are unbeaten in 4 matches now following two friendly wins in November against Georgia and St Kitts and Nevis. They held Norway to a 0-0 draw only last week and will be hopeful they can get another result here. Their recent record in Tallinn is good too. Over the past 2 seasons they have only lost 2 home matches and they were both slender 1-0 defeats to England and Switzerland.

There aren’t normally many goals in Estonia matches and this is unlikely to be any different. There have been under 2.5 goals in 8 of their last 10 at home and certainly against a side of Serbia’s ability they won’t be too ambitious. 7 of Serbia’s last 10 away internationals have had under 2.5 goals too and both teams have struggled to find the back of the net in recent times so consider backing Both Teams to Score – NO at 4/6.
