Everton vs Norwich Betting Tips

Everton’s 2-1 loss to Arsenal on Saturday was their 3^rd game on the trot without a win, although to be fair to them they have had to play Liverpool, Manchester United, and Arsenal.

The two latter teams sent Everton away with a defeat under their belts, but prior to this they had enjoyed a seven match unbeaten streak.

They did struggle a bit against Barnsley in the of the Capital One Cup 2^nd Round though, with Barnsley taking them to extra time before the visitors won 5-3. Reading were on the wrong end of a 2-1 scoreline in the 3^rd Round.

Overall, Everton’s form is pretty good despite their recent losses. They sit in 11^th place in the Premier League table and will be hoping to progress far in this very winnable competition to try and make their way into Europe.

Norwich also haven’t won in three games, but I think their form can be seen as considerable worse than the hosts.

They have been defeated in each of their last three games, with Leicester, Newcastle, and West Brom all beating them.

The 6-2 thrashing by Newcastle last weekend will still be fresh in the memory, and their dismal performance against West Brom won’t have helped matters much.

This leaves them just three points above the drop zone in the Premier League, so with their focus firmly on staying in the top flight they could field a weaker team on Tuesday.

The last five meetings between these sides have seen each team win once and three draws be played out, so we aren’t going to find out much about the likely winners from those statistics.

I think it all comes down to form, and Everton will be nowhere near disheartened as Norwich following their recent defeats. I think Everton will get the win on Tuesday, and odds of 8/11 for this look pretty good to me.
