One more for the Grecians’ win column

Exeter City have rediscovered their league form in recent weeks and can make it three wins in a row on Saturday when they host a Hartlepool side who seem to reserve their best performances for the cup competitions.

The Grecians slipped out of the playoff places at the turn of the year after going six games without a win in League Two, but victories over struggling Scunthorpe and Walsall have put them back on track.

That makes it four wins from their last six on Devonian turf and we believe a Pools side that have lost seven of their last nine on the road won’t be able to storm the St James’ Park stronghold.

Pools not producing enough goals 

Matt Taylor’s men, who sit one point off seventh place going into this round of games, have won exactly half of their home games up to this point and possess one of the six best home defensive records in the division.
