Hosts on a bad run

Faroe Islands pulled off one of the biggest results in their history when beating Turkey in late 2022 but things have gone downhill since then and they have lost 12 of their last 15 matches in all competitions.

They now host an Armenia team that have turned some solid performances from last year into wins.

Havakakan held Wales to a 1-1 draw in Euro 2024 qualifying and were only beaten 1-0 by Croatia.

Recently however they have beaten Kazakhstan 2-1 and got the better of Latvia 4-1.

A 2-0 loss away to North Macedonia has taken the shine off their recent run slightly but they should have enough to beat these opponents.

Armenia could edge low-scoring clash

Armenia have a number of interesting young players coming through their ranks, including Borussia Monchengladbach’s Grant-Leon Ramos, and he has netted four times in his 13 appearances for his nation.

The Nations League was created in part to give smaller nations opportunities to get positive results and Armenia are fancied to do that in this clash.

They can continue their good recent run and take all three points from this road trip.
