SC Freiburg vs Augsburg Predictions

It’s been a disappointing couple of years for Freiburg fans, with their shock 7th place finish a season after their promotion giving way to 2 lower mid-table finishes in the top flight. Could this season be the one that sees them push up the ladder though?

So far, it’s all looking very good for the hosts. They started the campaign with a comprehensive 3-0 win over Mainz and have since earned comfortable wins against Paderborn and Hoffenheim, with the only fly in the ointment being their defeat at home to Koln before the international break.

All the signs point towards a home win here, so we’re backing that on Saturday. However, Augsburg have managed to score in all 4 of their top flight games so far, so we’re not expecting a shutout from the hosts. For this reason, we like the look of a 2-1 correct score prediction.
