      Tip Reasoning

Both these sides finished in the bottom eight last season but have looked better this time around. That is certainly true of Reading who are riding high in 3rd place and in good form but they did suffer a slight setback in midweek when they could only draw at lowly Rotherham.

Fulham were also held to a draw by another team with a new manager. Leeds were the visitors at Craven Cottage and came away with a point, the third successive match that Fulham have drawn. The two previous were away games at Charlton and Middlesbrough and the latter is of more interest here as it displayed what is perhaps a new resiliance about this Fulham side and the ability to grind out results in difficult matches.

More often than not last year their defence would cave in and they were leaking goals all over the place but they look improved in that regard this year. On their day they pose a real attacking threat too as was shown by their 4-0 crushing of QPR last month.

Their only defeat in the last 5 was in part brought about by a first-half sending off to Tom Cairney against Wolves when the game was still level. Therefore we have seen more than enough from Fulham to suggest they can get something out of this game and at 8/11 they are well worth backing to do so.

They are drawing matches rather than winning them though and with Reading unbeaten in 5 on the road, it might be too tall an order to expect the Cottagers to win this so a point apiece looks likely again and it could be worth backing this to finish 1-1 at 11/2, which is how 2 of Fulham’s last 5 home games have ended.
