Things haven’t started well for Wouter Vrancken as Hearts boss with four defeats so far in competitive games on an aggregate scoreline of 14-2. They were mauled in midweek by Benfica after losing in dramatic fashion to Aberdeen in their league opener.

Leading entering the 90th minute, Hearts conceded twice either side of Stuart Findlay’s straight red card to lose.

Dundee United were a match for Rangers at Tannadice and merited their point. They haven’t lost in three visits to Gorgie and can make that four.

Hearts are taking time to adapt to their new manager. It may come good in time for last season’s nearly-men but, right now, they are conceding goals at an alarming rate.
