Draw

Reason for tip

Hertha have drawn four of their ten Bundesliga home games this season and will be glad of anything to stop the rot here. Gladbach, meanwhile, are winless in their last four trips to the Olympiastadion and have won just once on their travels this season, drawing four and losing four.

Draw 1-1

Reason for tip

The Foals have scored in seven of their nine away league games this term, but on four occasions it was only the solitary strike. Hertha are averaging 1.2 goals scored per home game and have kept only one clean sheet at Olympiastadion all campaign.

Hertha Berlin vs Borussia Monchengladbach Predictions

  • Hertha have drawn four of their ten Bundesliga home games this season.
  • Gladbach are winless in their last four trips to the Olympiastadion, drawing two and losing two.
  • The Foals have won just once on their travels this season, drawing four and losing four.

Schwarz switches system to spice things up

Herth Berlin have to dig themselves out of the relegation mire one point at a time and that might be the limit of their capabilities against mid-table Borussia Monchengladbach on Sunday.

Sandro Schwarz’s side lost for an eighth time in 10 Bundesliga games last weekend when Eintracht Frankfurt proved far too strong and clinical and stopping the rot will be the coach’s first objective.

Reports suggest he will opt for a back three system this weekend in a shake-up that would give Hertha two strikers as outlets and focal points. Top scorer Dodi Lukebakio will move from the wing to play alongside Florian Niederlechner up top.

Scrappy draw on the cards

A scoreless draw at home against basement club Schalke last Sunday was not what coach Gladbach Daniel Farke, who is without the suspended Julian Weigl here, wanted. His side have won only once on their travels all season and come into this having lost four of their last six road trips.

Backing Hertha to add to that tally seems a bit far-fetched, but the Old Lady can hold out for a draw against an opponent that has a dismal recent record at Olympiastadion, drawing two and losing two of their last four visits.

A 1-1 draw is the preferred correct score play as the Foals have scored in seven of their nine away league games this term, but on four occasions it was only the solitary strike. Hertha are averaging 1.2 goals scored per home game and have kept only one clean sheet in Berlin all season.
