Barca looking to maintain Los Che dominance

Barcelona have lost back-to-back games but they have a chance to bounce back when they head to the Mestalla on Saturday.

The Catalan outfit have an excellent recent record against Los Che and are unbeaten in the last six meetings between these two Spanish heavyweights, winning the last five.

Valencia in a tough spell

Valencia have managed just one point from the last 12 available and look set for another defeat on Saturday.

Barca lost out at home to Catalan rivals Girona in the last round of La Liga games and then went down 3-2 at Antwerp in the Champions league in midweek, although they had already secured a place in the knockout phase prior to that fixture.

Xavi’s side are yet to taste defeat on their travels domestically and can keep that run going with three points at the Mestalla.

This could be a low-scoring affair as Valencia have scored just one goal across their last three games, while Barcelona have scored a fairly modest 14 goals in total across their last 11 games in all competitions.

The Blaugrana won both of their La Liga meetings with Valencia last season 1-0 and a repeat result is the pick here in what could be a bit of a nervy encounter between two sides in need of a boost.
