Frankfurt can give European pursuit a boost

Bayern Munich put an emphatic end to Hoffenheim’s recent resurgence in the Bundesliga with a 4-1 hammering of Sebastian Hoeness’s men last weekend.

Prior to that defeat at the Allianz Arena, Hoffenheim had beaten had comfortably beaten Hertha Berlin and Cologne in the league but their defensive resolve continues to cost them.

And they could come unstuck against an Eintracht Frankfurt unit, who have won six of their last seven matches, scoring at least twice in each of those victories.

Frankfurt pulled through a tough opening hour to beat Hertha 3-1 last time out and with Luka Jovic and Andre Silva in the final third, they can pry open the Hoffenheim rearguard.
