Lille Double Chance (Win or Draw)

      Reason for tip

PSG have made a lackluster start to the new campaign and a French Champions Trophy defeat to Lens and 2-2 Ligue 1 draw with Rennes doesn’t inspire confidence when the Parisians head for Lille.

      Draw 2-2

      Reason for tip

There have been 41 goals in the last nine meetings between Lille and PSG and nine of their last ten fixtures have gone over 2.5 goals. Playing the 2-2 draw could reward punters at a big price.

      Lille vs PSG Predictions

      • Nine of the last ten meetings between these teams have gone over 2.5 goals
      • Both teams have scored in nine of their last ten games between Lille and PSG
      • There have been 41 goals in the last nine meetings between these teams

Champions could come unstuck at Lille

PSG had to come from 2-0 down to grab a 2-2 draw at Rennes and it hasn’t been a brilliant start to the campaign for the European champions.

The Parisians fell behind to an excellent Sebastian Szymanski strike, but they were carved open when Esteban Lepaul made it 2-0 and there are concerns over Luis Enrique’s defence.

A brace from Ferran Torres got PSG out of trouble, but the Parisians were long odds-on to take three points at Rennes and a 2-2 draw has to be considered a disappointing result.

Enrique’s men did win the shot count 19-9 and put up expected goals figures of 2.16, but creating chances is often a problem for PSG and what is happening at the other end is a bigger concern.

The Parisians had previously been beaten by Lens in the French Champions Trophy, and as was evident in the Champions League last season, PSG do improve as the season progresses, but they look a team to avoid at short prices at this stage of the campaign.

Lille’s young star Ayyoub Bouaddi is on the verge of joining Manchester City in a mega-money move, but the Mastiffs coped well without Bouaddi when winning 2-0 Angers in their opening fixture of the Ligue 1 campaign.

At the prices, Lille can be fancied to avoid defeat against the French champions.
