Inaugural home game for Inter Miami

This weekend marks the first ever home game for Inter Miami with the new club looking to kickstart their season with a result against the most successful MLS club their first visitors. Their first two games of the season saw them defeated by LAFC and DC United but their performances were encouraging in both games.

They managed 13 shots on goal in those two games and they probably deserved to take something from the game with DC United. The side have started well and there is unlikely to be any wholesale changes to the starting eleven although they will be without influential centre back, Roman Torres, following his red card last weekend.

Stuttering start for LA Galaxy

Hopes were high for LA Galaxy heading into the new season but they haven’t started the season meeting those expectations. An opening day draw at Houston was quickly followed by a disappointing 1-0 home defeat against Vancouver. Things haven’t gone well for Galaxy so far but they will be keen to find a result against the MLS newcomers.

Perhaps most worryingly for LA Galaxy is the lack of results in the final third. They’ve scored just once but only had five shots on target, with just one in their home game against Vancouver last weekend. The attacking trio of Hernandez, Katai and Pavon have yet to click and the team could struggle to find the net once again this weekend.

Is glory on the cards for Inter Miami?

Inter Miami will be full of motivation ahead of their first ever game at their ground. LA Galaxy have struggled in the early stages of the season and that could carry on against a side that will be looking to embarrass them. Inter Miami have been unlucky to not take anything from their opening two games but we think that changes and we’re backing them to score over 1.5 goals against LA Galaxy.

The home side will be looking from maximum points in their first ever game at Inter Miami CF Stadium and there will be a big celebration if that side claim all three points. We think that celebration will be going ahead this weekend as we’re predicting that Inter Miami find the win with a 2-1 scoreline.
