Inter Milan vs Napoli Predictions

• Inter Milan are unbeaten in 14 games, winning nine

Champions can continue perfect start

A Scott McTominay brace earned Napoli an impressive point in their last meeting with Inter but they are unlikely to land a similar result when they head to San Siro on Saturday. 

Inter have been crowned Serie A champions and won the Coppa Italia in the six months since their last meeting with Napoli, and they again look the team to beat in Italy. 

Cristian Chivu has kept the core of his side intact while still adding quality in the form of John Stones and Curtis Jones, and the Nerazzurri can lay down a first real marker to their title rivals this weekend.

Inter to stand firm at San Siro

Wins over Monza and Cagliari were expected, so last season’s runners-up Napoli are set to provide Inter’s first test of the campaign. 

It is a test Chivu’s side should pass easily enough, though, given the Partenopei were beaten 2-1 at home by Como last time and are beginning to look past their past. 

Max Allegri underperformed with AC Milan last term and a loss to Como plus a win over Genoa which was earned by two last-gasp goals is not enough to suggest he will fare better with Napoli, another Italian giant.
