Home comforts key for KFUM

KFUM Oslo should be backed to beat Rosenborg at home in the Eliteserien on Sunday.

Rosenborg are fourth in the league, nine points above ninth-placed KFUM, with eight wins, six draws and three losses so far.

KFUM maintained their winning run last time, beating Kristiansund 5-0 in their last Eliteserien game last weekend. They have won five of the seven games in which they’ve scored first this season (71%). KFUM restricted Kristiansund to one shot on target.

KFUM are in excellent form, having not tasted defeat in seven Eliteserien games. They have been winners in five of their last six matches, and come into this game on the back of three consecutive victories.

They have been in goalscoring form, scoring at least twice in five of their last six Eliteserien games. They have scored two goals or more in three consecutive matches.

KFUM are on a run of three successive clean sheets, their longest sequence of games without conceding this season. They last conceded a league goal last month, in a 1-1 draw with Bryne, and have now shut out the opposition in four of their last six games.

Rosenborg’s recent form has been inconsistent, with two wins, two draws and two defeats in their last six games. That run included a demoralising 4-1 defeat by Kristiansund.

Rosenborg have conceded on each of their last three Eliteserien road trips, and KFUM will fancy their chances of getting on the scoresheet.

A 1-0 win for KFUM looks the most likely outcome. No team has played more Eliteserien games with under 2.5 goals than Rosenborg this season (11), and KFUM should be backed to edge it.
