      Landskrona vs Gais Predictions

These sides are currently locked in the middle of the Superettan with just one place and two points separating them. It’s still relatively early doors with the season only a third of the way through and it’s hard to know how each side’s campaign will progress from here. A good run of form could push them into promotion contention but the league is relatively congested and it will only take a minor slump for the pair to slip into the relegation picture.

Landskrona will certainly be happy with a mid-table season. They are a newly promoted side having clinched the Division 1 South title last term and they are just trying to establish themselves at this level again. They have spent almost all of their history in the top two tiers so it certainly shouldn’t be beyond them and the early signs are good.

As for GAIS they finished 9th last term and are currently one place better off this season so they seem to be operating on roughly the same level again. They come into this game following back-to-back wins but their opponents also approach this one following a thumping 5-1 away win, so it’s a tough one to call with little seemingly to choose between the sides.

It does look like a game with the potential to produce goals at both ends though. 60% of Landskrona matches this term have seen both teams score. That includes 3 of their last 4 and having put in a five star showing in their last match, they will certainly feel as though they have the necessary firepower to create chances here.

60% of GAIS matches have also seen goals at both ends. That’s also true of 80% of their away games and just a 10% clean sheet ratio for them this term is becoming a bit of a concern. Certainly they will need to tighten up defensively if they are to stand any chance of being more than a mid-table outfit.

Overall backing Both Teams to Score looks like it could be the value bet here, with both sides showing enough going forward to suggest they will score in this game without fully convincing at the back.

In terms of the result, it’s worth noting that although Landskrona’s overall home record isn’t great, they have played 4 of the top 5 already at home. They only lost 1 of those games and will fancy that against slightly weaker opposition they can get the job done. Going for a 2-1 Landskrona Win could therefore be worth considering.
