Leicester City vs Braga Predictions

  • Both sides boast a 100% record in Group G after the first two matches.
  • Leicester have won their last four games in all competitions.
  • Braga have triumphed in their last six outings in all competitions.
  • Leicester have scored ten goals in their last four matches, while Braga have netted twice or more in four of their last six games.

Pressure Off at the King Power

Both these sides already look too good for their Group G competition and there should be little between the pair when they square off at the King Power on Thursday evening.

Braga have become Europa League stalwarts in recent years, and although they tend to come up short in the latter stages, the Portuguese outfit typically progress from the Group Phase with the minimum of fuss.

They’re set to breeze their way through Group G this term after beating AEK Athens (3-0) and Zorya
(1-2) in their opening two outings  – results which have put them joint top of this section alongside Leicester, who have also claimed a perfect six points from six.

The Foxes are in tremendous form at present. They’ve won their last four in all competitions and moved up to second in the Premier League on Monday after outclassing Leeds United 1-4 at Elland Road.

Nonetheless, Brendan Rogers’ side aren’t quite producing their best football at home, with both of their league defeats thus far arriving at the King Power.

Braga perhaps represent a similar standard of opposition to the Leeds team which Leicester dispatched earlier this week, but that result may have taken the edge off them a bit while there’s little pressure on either of the teams this Thursday to bag all three points – such is their comfortable position in the group.

With Braga in equally good form at present having won their last six in all competitions, a draw may be the best punting course of action here for small stakes, while we’re also tipping up a 2-2 correct score at decent odds.

The hosts have struck ten times in their last four games while Braga have netted twice or more in four of their last six fixtures, so we should definitely see plenty of goalmouth drama in a game that’s likely to have minor implications for both teams in terms of the competition overall.
