      Leicester vs Tottenham Hotspur Predictions

Leicester have twice visited White Hart Lane in the past two weeks, and twice they have managed to come away with something.

They were unfortunate not to win the FA Cup fixture last weekend. Leicester came from a goal behind to lead 2-1 for the majority of the second half, but a last minute penalty from Harry Kane has taken the tie to a replay. They managed to get their own back three days later though when they scored an 83rd minute goal to win their Premier League tie.

In both these games Spurs controlled possession throughout, but Leicester’s incisive counter attacking play and efficient shooting record got the better of their opponents.

Despite these two positive results, Leicester haven’t looked the same team as the one we are used to seeing now. They drew 1-1 with bottom of the table Aston Villa at the weekend to make it just one win from their last six games in all competitions. More surprisingly, they have failed to score in three of these matches.

Tottenham Hotspur managed to get a win on Saturday as they thrashed Sunderland 4-1, ending their run of three games without a win in the process.

This still leaves both of these sides in the top four of the Premier League though. Leicester sit in 2nd place with 44 points from their opening 22 matches, whilst Spurs hold on to their 4th position and sit just five points off the leaders.

A top four finish in the Premier League is likely to hold the majority of both sides’ focus, so we could well see some squad rotation for this FA Cup clash.

Being at home, I think Leicester will be more inclined to attack more than they have in the away matches. This could well leave them vulnerable to the likes of Eriksen and Kane at the other end though, so I think this could be a high scoring match. Odds of 4/5 for Over 2.5 Match Goals look good to me, and I’m also backing a 2-1 Leicester win at 9/1.
