Back another high-scoring home win for Lille

Goals are on the cards when Lille host St-Etienne at Stade Pierre-Mauroy on Saturday. St-Etienne have scored in five consecutive games, including a 3-1 win over Reims last month, and backing over 3.5 goals looks the way to go.

Lille are fifth in Ligue 1, while St-Etienne are down in 15th. Lille have eight wins, eight draws and three losses from their 19 games this season, but St-Etienne have won just five times.

St-Etienne are struggling to get wins, having failed to win six of their last seven Ligue 1 games, but Lille have enjoyed success in four of their last six home games in the league and have gone seven home games since their last defeat.

Lille possess a potent attack, having scored two goals or more in ten of their 19 Ligue 1 games this season. They have found the net in all nine of their home matches, scoring 16 goals in total, and thumped Feyenoord 6-1 on Wednesday to qualify for the Champions League knockout stages in a top-eight position.

Both teams have been struggling defensively, which bodes well for goals.

Lille have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last two league games and St-Etienne have conceded on all ten of their away days this season.

Lille have won four of their last six Ligue 1 home games and a 3-1 home win is an attractive correct-score bet, with four of Lille’s eight successes this season coming by two goals. St-Etienne have lost four of their 11 games in the league by the same margin.
