      Ludogorets vs Inter Milan Predictions

      • Ludogorets made it through Group H despite winning just two games in this season’s competition.
      • Inter Milan dropped into this competition following their exit from the Champions League.
      • Ludogorets have scored 10 goals in six games in the Europa League this season but conceded the same amount.
      • Inter Milan scored 10 goals in the Champions League group stages and conceded nine times.

Can Ludogorets pull off a great European shock?

Ludogorets are one of the surprise sides in the Europa League this season, coming through their group following wins over Ferencvaros and CSKA Moscow. They managed to make the knockout round by a single point and will be keen to show their pedigree against a true European giant.

The Bulgarian side scored 10 goals in their six group games, an average of 1.66 goals per game, but their defensive record was poor, with the side also conceding 10 goals and a heavy loss to Espanyol really hurting the side’s goal difference. Ludogorets face a tough test here but will hope to pull off a shock and take a lead to Milan.

Can Inter Milan turn their Champions League exit into a positive?

Inter Milan will feel a little hard done by in their exit from the Champions League, with the Italian side drawn against Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund. But it was ultimately an opening-day draw against Slavia Prague that put them on the back foot immediately and, as a result, they find themselves in Europe’s second-tier competition.

The side didn’t really meet expectations, losing three of their six matches and conceding nine goals. They scored more than both the sides that did qualify but their defensive frailties let them down, something they hope to rectify as they try and pick up Europa League silverware this season.

Who heads to Milan with the advantage?

There isn’t much to suggest Ludogorets will come away with a result here, with Inter having such talent in their ranks against the relative minnows of Bulgarian football. We think Inter Milan will put this tie to bed in the first leg and are backing them to win this game to nil, showcasing their dominance across the pitch.

Inter should be winning this game with relative ease and we think this will prove to be the case, with the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez in great form this season. We think Inter will be able to pick up the easy win without ever really leaving first gear and are predicting a 2-0 triumph for the Italian side.
