Manchester United vs Feyenoord Predictions

Manchester United missed out on three points at Old Trafford on Saturday when Arsenal’s only shot on target found it’s way into the net late on to level the scores. All things considered a 1-1 draw against the in form Arsenal isn’t something to be worried about, but Manchester United’s overall form record is.

They have only managed three wins in their last nine outings in all competitions, losing away to Chelsea and Fenerbahce and drawing the remaining four to leave them 3rd in their Europa League group and 6th in the Premier League.

Fortunately for them they are just a point off the top spot in their Europa League group, and with them winning both of their home group games they will feel pretty confident about bagging the points on Thursday. This is especially true after their 4-1 thrashing of Fenerbahce at Old Trafford in October.

In terms of individual performances it’s been a very mixed bag for Manchester United. Zlatan Ibrahimovic is their top scorer in all competitions but hasn’t looked great recently, whilst Paul Pogba’s performances are slowly improving as he looks to match them to his price tag. The French midfielder now has two Premier League goals and two in the Europa League, and considering odds of 15/8 I think he’s the best bet for our anytime goalscorer predictions.

Feyenoord managed to break out of a three match winless streak on Sunday as they beat PEC Zwolle 3-0 at home. This leaves them top of the Eredivisie, two points clear of Ajax. Away from home they have lost two of their last five matches though and haven’t won either of their Europa League group games.

All of Feyenoord’s Europa League group games this season have seen fewer than three goals as well, and considering Manchester United are struggling to find their stride going forward, I think this could be a low scoring affair. Only one of Manchester United’s last six home games have seen three or more goals, so backing Under 2.5 Goals at 43/40 looks a very good choice. I’m backing a 2-0 win for Manchester United at 11/2 as well for my correct score predictions.
