Millwall vs Burton Betting Tips & Predictions

Millwall’s away defeat to Bradford City on Saturday has put their League One playoff credentials into doubt somewhat. The defeat allowed Bradford to close the gap between the sides to just a single point, and a defeat again on Monday could see both Barnsley and Bradford leapfrog them.

This would put them outside of the playoff positions that they currently occupy, although a win could see them move into 4th position and narrow the gap on the automatic promotion positions to six points.

Millwall enjoyed a very good run at the beginning of the year, but recently they have slowed down a bit. They come into this match having only won two of their last six outings and having lost twice.

Burton have also slowed down their winning ways. They have won three of their last six outings and lost once, a run which has allowed Wigan to close the gap at the top of League One. They are now just four points clear of their opponents, and they will want to get back to form quickly in order to maintain their position at the top of the table.

Millwall tend to keep a very tight ship at the back at The Den, and as a result have only seen one team find the back of the net in each of their last five games there. Burton do exactly the same thing away from home, with both teams scoring in just three of their last 14 trips away.

This leaves both teams with 26% of their respective home and away matches having both teams on the scoresheet, so odds of 3/4 for Both Teams Not to Score look very attractive. I’m going for a 1-0 win for Millwall at 11/2 as well.
