MK Dons vs Derby Betting Tips

After a promising start to their first season in the Second tier of English football, MK Dons have hit a real rough patch and have lost their last 5 games in all competitions including a 6-0 thrashing at home to Southampton in midweek. They’ve conceded 2 or more in all of those games and have scored just 3 goals in the league since their big opening day win at Rotherham.

It will all be concerning for Karl Robinson and they will need a much improved showing if they are to get anything from their game with Derby. The Rams have just started to hit some form after a slow start under Paul Clement and they are certainly the side who come into this game with all the momentum.

They’ve taken 7 points from their 3 games so far this month with wins on the road at Reading and Preston suggesting they have all the ingredients to come here and win. MK Dons were a very attacking side in League 1 but have been a bit more cautious this year at the higher level. They are still a little bit lacking in conviction in the final third but you’d expect them to boss this game and against a MK Dons side that have been really struggling for goals they could well keep a clean sheet. Therefore consider backing the Rams to win 2-0 at 17/2.
