MK Dons vs QPR Predictions
This is certainly a bigger game for the home side than the visitors. MK Dons are doing just enough to keep themselves above the bottom three and could give themselves a more comfortable margin with 3 points here. They have only won 1 of their last 8 games in all competitions and that was a surprise league win at Derby but they have picked up some useful draws and with the teams below them struggling they are now 3 points above the relegation zone. That would have been 4 had they not conceded an injury time goal against Blackburn last weekend to lose 3-2.
QPR have on the face of it very little left to play for. They are 11 points off the play-off places but in the top half and in no danger of going down. Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink can use the final 12 games as a chance to build towards what he hopes will be a genuine promotion push next season. There have been improvements in recent weeks and they’ve only lost 1 of their last 9 games but it’s still just 3 wins in 16 matches under the Dutch boss for QPR. Arguably their most impressive was a 2-0 win over play-off chasing Birmingham last time out.
They have only failed to score in 2 of their last 15 matches and both were against a Nottingham Forest side who are strong at the back. They’ll fancy their chances of breaching the Dons defence but both teams have scored in 3 of the last 4 matches at stadium mk and the Dons caused a Blackburn side that don’t concede many quite a few problems last weekend. Therefore consider backing both teams to score at 5/6.
