Monaco seeking a response

Monaco saw a three-game winning run halted in a 2-0 defeat at Lille last week and will be looking to bounce back when they entertain Brest on Sunday.

Les Rouge et Blanc remain well placed in Ligue 1, four points behind leaders PSG after their win on Friday, and should be able to make the most of home advantage on Sunday.

Brest out of form

Brest are challenging for the European spots as well but they arrive at the Stade Louis II in poor form as they are winless in four and have lost their last two.

Les Pirates did perform well in a 3-2 defeat at home to PSG last time out, but Monaco have a strong record at home with four wins from five games – losing only to title rivals Nice – and they should be able to claim maximum points here.

A 3-1 win for Monaco is the correct score prediction as they are scoring on average 2.3 goals-per-game and they have scored at least three goals in five of their six Ligue 1 wins. Adi Hutter’s men have conceded 14 goals in 10 games, which means they have the worst defensive record in the top six, so a consolation effort for Brest is expected.
