- Monaco won 4-1 when they last played host to Brest
- Monaco have won five of their last six matches in all competitions
- Both teams have scored in four of Monaco’s and five of Brest’s last six matches
Monaco Expected to Extend Unbeaten Run
Monaco secured an impressive 2-0 win away at the title favourites PSG last weekend and now sit just 2pts behind them in 4th. Brest lost a five-goal thriller 3-2 in their own backyard last time out against Lyon and remain in the bottom half of the Ligue 1 table.
Brest will be hoping to recreate the success they had when they last went up against Monaco in October. A solitary goal from the former Monaco midfielder Faivre proved enough for Brest to claim all 3pts. However, Monaco ran out 4-1 winners when they last played host to Brest and the form guide suggests that the hosts could be in line for another win this weekend.
The hosts have won five of their last six matches in all competitions, their other result being a 2-2 draw, while Brest have lost two, drawn two and won two of their last six outings. Clean sheets could well be at a premium this weekend as both teams have scored in four of Monaco’s and five of Brest’s last six fixtures.
We’re confident that Monaco will win and over 2.5 goals will be scored in Sunday’s clash. We’re predicting a final scoreline of 3-1 in favour of the hosts as they have scored 6-goals in their last two away games in Ligue 1, while Brest have only failed to find the back of the net in one of their last six outings.
