Monaco vs Spurs Predictions
Monaco started their Europa League campaign with a 1-1 away draw against Anderlecht. They’ve not enjoyed much better form since winning one and drawing one of three Ligue 1 games, all against bottom half competition.
On the positive front, they do seem to have discovered their attacking potency after struggling to take advantage of chances and superior possession early on. On the negative side of things, a team that has generally established itself as a very strong defensive team, but they’ve conceded eight goals in their last three league matches.
Tottenham secured a good win in their opening group game, though it probably came against Group J minnows FK Qarabag. They’ll be better tested in their trip this week, but they could hardly be playing a game with more confidence after thrashing English Premier League leaders Manchester City this past weekend.
They’ve been a little erratic in general, but Harry Kane’s performance has been improving and the team’s attacking play is looking more dangerous in general.
Three Reasons for Betting Tips
1. Don’t trust Monaco
Their league form has not been trustworthy and it’s difficult to know which team will show up for this game, we can’t believe that a team that has struggled to get past Lorient and Guingamp will be able to win this game.
2. Tottenham form
It has been a slightly erratic start to the season for Spurs, but we like their recent form, they played well against Man City and they’ve picked up a couple of other big league wins in recent weeks.
3. Double Chance opportunity
At 4/6, the double chance opportunity on Tottenham in this match-up is too good to pass up, Monaco’s game plan will almost certainly be negative, which might lend itself to a draw, but we fancy Spurs to break them down a couple of times and to pick up a crucial win.
