Norwich vs Everton Predictions

  • Norwich have lost their last six league games to nil
  • The hosts have scored the fewest goals and conceded the most in the league
  • The Canaries have lost 14 of 20 Premier League matches this term
  • That includes a 2-0 loss to Everton earlier this season

Norwich fading away

The arrival of Dean Smith hasn’t inspired any kind of survival push from Norwich, with the Canaries drifting back towards the Championship. Six straight losses to nil in the league has left them bottom, with little sign of any kind of fightback.

The Canaries will look to this as an opportunity to change their fortunes. However, the pressure is also on Everton and Rafa Benitez. With Lucas Digne leaving under a cloud – laying the blame at Benitez – the Toffees are searching for a boost.

Norwich trailing across the board

The hosts not only sit bottom of the table, but they’re bottom of the league’s form table with two points from eight matches. The Canaries have the league’s worst home record with only five points from a possible 30, while they have scored the fewest goals and conceded the most in the league this term.

Norwich have failed to score in their last four home matches and they have hardly made Carrow Road a fortress. With just five points from their last 45 available in Premier League home games, Everton head here as worthy favourites.

Opportunity for Everton

Everton needed extra-time to get by Hull in the FA Cup last weekend but that win should boost them. The visitors are also starting to look stronger with their injury issues easing. Vitalii Mykolenko steps in for Digne at left-back, while Calvert-Lewin leads the line again with Demarai Gray in support.

Everton have already won their two meetings with the bottom three this term, including a 2-0 win over Norwich. With the Canaries losing 14 of their 20 games so far, Everton look good value at evens for a victory. The Toffees are still a low-scoring side, so back them to edge this clash against a blunt Norwich attack.

Norwich predicted lineup: Krul; Aarons, Kabak, Hanley, Giannoulis; Sorensen, McLean; Sargent, Idah, Rashica; Pukki

Everton predicted lineup: Pickford; Holgate, Keane, Godfrey; Coleman, Allan, Doucoure, Mykolenko; Gordon, Calvert-Lewin, Gray
