Nottingham Forest vs Hull Predictions
It has been a mixed bag of a season so far for Forest with 3 wins, 3 draws and 3 defeats from their opening 9 games to leave them in mid-table. That might be just about their natural standing as they perhaps lack the sort of quality required to really threaten the play-offs but have probably got enough to steer clear of danger.
Their defeats have come so far in tough games against the top two sides in the division and Cardiff although 2 of the 3 have come at the City Ground. There have been goals at both ends in 5 of their last 6 fixtures and they will certainly be relatively positive given they have home advantage and the Nottingham public won’t settle for an overly cautious approach even against the better teams of which Hull are certainly one.
Hull have just started to put a bit of form together and are unbeaten in 4 matches coming into this one with wins over Cardiff and Swansea sandwiched in between less impressive 1-1 draws against QPR and Blackburn at the KC Stadium.
With both sides likely to approach this with a win on their minds, goals at both ends are likely and you can back that to be the case at 5/6.
However the floodgates are unlikely to open at either end. Hull have more quality but have only won once on the road so far in the Championship this season. Nottingham Forest have been very competitive in all the games they’ve played this year and they’ve had quite a difficult start to the season in terms of fixtures.
All the games involving them have been close and this should be no different. Hull have played some decent stuff at times but apart from their 2-0 win at Cardiff, they’ve not really had the feel of a side that is going to take this league by storm.
Therefore there is likely to be little to choose between the sides on Saturday so consider backing it to finish 1-1 at 5/1.
