Olympiacos vs Ludogorets Predictions

Greek champions Olympiakos entertain Ludogorets Razgrad of Bulgaria in the third round of Champions League qualifying on Tuesday and we feel a home win could be on the cards.

Olympiakos have an awesome record at their Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium base and are unbeaten in their last eight home games, with their last loss coming at the hands of Arsenal in last season’s Europa League.

Ludogorets have played three away games this season and are unbeaten with two wins and a draw.  The Bulgarians have played in two qualifying rounds already in this competition and won 1-0 in Belarus against Soligorsk before being held to a 0-0 draw by Mura in Slovenia.

Olympiakos will provide a far sterner test, however, and they should be able to seize the initiative with a first leg victory.  The Greeks aren’t prolific scorers but they do boast a mean defence with six clean sheets in their last eight home games, so 2-0 has a real chance in the correct score market.
