Home advantage gives underdogs Partizan a chance

Serbia’s Partizan Belgrade entertain AEK Larnaca of Cyprus in Europa League qualifying on Thursday and as underdogs the home side could be a risk worth taking.

AEK won the first leg 1-0 and on the balance of play perhaps should have a bigger lead to defend.

However, Partizan should provide a bigger threat at home. In Serbia’s top tier last season they lost just two of their 19 home games, winning 10, while AEK struggled on their travels towards the end of the previous campaign with just one win in their final seven trips across all competitions.
