Plucky Portsmouth to make light work of Harrogate

Portsmouth are simply irresistible at the moment, they are unbeaten in their nine games since mid-October, a run which includes six victories accompanied by a clean sheet.

Considering that those wins all came against opposition one division above Harrogate, Portsmouth should cruise this game if they play the majority of their first team here. However, bear in mind that the FA Cup often throws up it’s fair share of surprises that stats cannot predict.

Harrogate are in good shape themselves, they are currently unbeaten in three away games while scoring six goals in the process. However, they recently lost 4-0 to League One opponents Sheffield Wednesday in their most recent away cup game.

All in all, I think Portsmouth will show their class in this game given that their form has come consistently against tougher opponents than what Harrogate are used to playing. As such, I predict a simple 2-0 victory for the hosts and I will be backing the ‘win to nil’ market to squeeze value out of the selection.
