It has been a remarkable season for PSV Eindhoven, who, with just six games to go, are closing in on the Eredivisie title thanks to collecting 75 points in just 28 fixtures.

Remarkably, 37 of those points have been accumulated on home soil, where they have won 12 of their 13 outings, alongside a 2-2 draw with Feyenoord in March.

They have conceded only 16 goals across the course of the cmapaign, but at the other end have blitzed home 84 strikes, with all bar one of their last 21 home league fixtures containing 2+ goals.

AZ faced with an immovable object

That will not make for pretty reading for visitors AZ Alkmaar, who were destroyed in a 5-0 defeat to Heracles last time out that damages their hopes of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League.

That was only a fourth defeat of 2024 for Pascal Jansen’s side, but it’s worrying who those losses have come to – twice to Feyenoord and another to Twente, both of whom are in the top three.
