QPR vs Blackburn Betting Tips

QPR have been an entertaining side to watch this season with goals invariably flowing at both ends. They’d been in good form and looked to be on the way to another win at the weekend, leading 1-0 at home to Nottingham Forest going in to the final 20 minutes. However goalkeeper Rob Green saw red and the visitors scored twice late on to take all the points.

It was a setback for Chris Ramsey’s men and they’ll be desperate to bounce back with a win here against Blackburn. Their defensive problems remain a concern and you never feel confident about them keeping it tight at the back for 90 minutes but fortunately they also possess the ability to score goals and in Charlie Austin have the league’s top scorer and a man who has scored more times than the entire Rovers squad so far this season. He’s not the only one looking dangerous either so you have to fancy the hosts to outgun the Lancashire club and win this at 19/20.

Blackburn have their own predator in the form of Jordan Rhodes but the Scot is getting limited service and is perhaps a little too heavily relied upon for goals now Rudy Gestede has departed. The inevitable situation Rovers find themselves in is that they aren’t looking that threatening going forward.

They’ve played 7 matches in all competitions so far this season and are yet to win and Gary Bowyer could really be sweating for his job if they are beaten again here. They’ve not been getting beaten heavily at all but with goals so hard to come by they must be wondering where their first win is going to come from.

Chances are it won’t be here. Although QPR may grant them chances, Blackburn may need at least a couple of goals to get something out of the game given how much of threat the Londoners are going forward. Therefore the value here surely lies with the home side.

Blackburn won’t roll over and die though and are reasonably solid at the back so QPR will have to work for it. Home clean sheets are an extreme rarity at Loftus Road so consider going for QPR to win 2-1 at 15/2.
