Real Madrid vs Napoli Predictions

No stopping high-flying Real

Real Madrid are yet to put a foot wrong in this season’s Champions League, winning all four of their matches and they can wrap up top spot in Group C by avoiding defeat against second-placed Napoli.

With qualification for the knockout stages already secured, there is a case to suggest Real may take their foot off the gas on Wednesday, but Los Blancos have won 15 of their 18 games across all competitions this season, losing just once.

Rayo Vallecano are the only visiting side to have left the Bernabeu having avoided defeat this season, but Real are not impenetrable at the back and may concede against a Napoli side that have scored in eight of their nine away matches during 2023-24.

Three is the magic number for hosts against Napoli

This will be the fourth time that Real and Napoli have met since 2017 and all three previous clashes have seen the Spanish giants win, score exactly three goals and concede at least once.

Two of those three matches have ended in 3-1 victories for Real, including the last time they met on Spanish soil in February 2017.

Real put three past Cadiz in La Liga on Sunday and three on Braga in their last Champions League fixture. Three could be the magic number for Carlo Ancelotti’s side once again this midweek, but expect Napoli to also trouble the scoresheet.
